This oak tree was planted by Michael Fish, BBC weatherman in the presence of chairman of the council Mrs Beryl Jay and Philip Sutton from Scottish and Southern energy in order to commemorate Salisbury District Council's switch over to the 'Acorn' green electricity scheme on 22nd November 2000.
